Sunday afternoon at Charlotte Motor Speedway, RFK Racing announced a brad new partnership with BlueForge Alliance, which will see BuildSubmarines.com become the primary sponsor for a total of 10 races in 2023 and 18 races in 2024 between RFK Racing’s two NASCAR Cup Series entries.
BuildSubmarines.com will make its debut on Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford Mustang at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 16th. The first primary sponsorship of the program for Chris Buescher and the No. 17 team will come at Darlington Raceway in September.
In addition to the primary sponsorships, BuildSubmarines.com will have activations at multiple NASCAR events as well as hosting various engagements focused on promoting careers in skilled trades and advanced manufacturing.
Brad Keselowski, RFK co-owner and driver, feels a personal connection with this partnership as he owns Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing, and he is heavily involved in the field.
“I’m proud to support a cause of such vital significance to our country with this new partnership,” said Keselowski. “The synergies between a NASCAR team and our military’s needs to stay on track fast are countless. We hope to inspire the workforce of the next generation across the country when they see RFK race and hear our message.”
For BlueForge Alliance, the opportunity to reach the legions of NASCAR fans, who may thrive in advanced manufacturing jobs that will benefit the United States is an exciting thing.
“We are excited and grateful to be teaming with RFK Racing to drive awareness of the thousands of steady, well-paying manufacturing jobs available across the nation. Innovation, working with purpose, and service to others are hallmarks of both of our organizations. Together, we aim to inspire NASCAR fans and all Americans to pursue career opportunities that will support our national defense,” said Kiley Wren, chief executive, and co-founder, BlueForge Alliance.
The announcement came in a very elaborate setup inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Center Theatre room, which RFK Racing had mocked up to feel like you were inside a submarine.
As you walked to the theatre seats, there were television screens showing a submarine radar beeping, it was partnered with authentic radar sounds and LED accent lighting that was pulsing with the radar videos.
When it was time for the announcement, the room went red, and a countdown timer counted down from 10. As the counter reached zero, Keselowski’s No. 6 BuildSubmarines.com Ford Mustang elevated from behind some signage and was accompanied by smoke.
