Martin Truex Jr. has won two more Stages in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway than he has won all season long.

Truex took his all-time record 40th-career Stage Win in Stage 2 of Sunday’s race (the Stage format has been around since 2017).

Ryan Blaney rallied on the final restart to finish runner-up in the Stage.

Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin were third and fourth, which means that Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas were three of the top-four finishers in Stage 2.

Chase Elliott was fifth while Kevin Harvick, Matt DiBenedetto, Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top-10 in the Stage.

The four-lap shootout was set up when John Hunter Nemechek made contact with his Front Row Motorsports teammate Michael McDowell on lap 200. The contact sent McDowell spinning into the grass on the frontstretch,

115 laps remain in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.
