William Byron started the worst of the four Hendrick Motorsports drivers (18th) Sunday at Martinsville Speedway, but when the chips were on the table, it was Byron that led a Hendrick 1-2-3 charge across the finish line to score the win in the Cook Out 400.

Following the emotional win, in a race celebrating Hendrick Motorsports’ 40th anniversary, Byron’s car passed post-race inspection, which allowed NASCAR to declare the driver and his No. 24 team the official winners of the race.

This marks the third win for Byron through the opening eight races of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, and it is the 13th win of his career in the Cup Series.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

Kyle Larson came home in the runner-up spot and he was followed by Chase Elliott in third spot. Bubba Wallace came home in fourth, and Ryan Blaney rounded out the top-five finishers in the Cook Out 400.
