Joey Logano stepped up and delivered his best performance of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway. The driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang Dark Horse marched to the race win as he led the final 53 laps of Sunday’s race, and he led a total of 107 laps on the day.

Logano crossed the finish line, 0.330 seconds ahead of his teammate Ryan Blaney, who was charging hard in the closing laps.

Following the race, Logano’s race, and championship-winning No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang Dark Horse underwent the rigors of post-race inspection, where the car was given a passing grade. Logano has been named the official NASCAR Cup Series champion for 2024.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, and all results and standings following Sunday’s championship race are now considered official.

Ryan Blaney was the official runner-up finisher, while William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Christopher Bell rounded out the top-five finishers.
