Chris Buescher led a race-high 52 laps in Sunday/Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, and he was able to successfully hold off Martin Truex Jr. over the final 12 laps to score the win.

Following post-race inspection, Buescher and his No. 17 RFK Racing team have been named the official winners by NASCAR as the No. 17 Castrol Edge Ford Mustang passed inspection with no issues.

Kyle Larson’s No. 5 car and Joey Logano’s No. 22 car will go to the NASCAR R&D Center for additional inspection.

Larson’s No. 5, Logano’s No. 22, Daniel Suarez’s No. 99, and Bubba Wallace’s No. 23 cars will go for engine dyno testing at the NASCAR R&D Center.

And Corey LaJoie’s No. 7 car and AJ Allmendinger’s No. 16 car will go to Concord, North Carolina for wind tunnel testing.

This is officially Buescher’s second-consecutive NASCAR Cup Series win, and it is the fourth win of the 30-year-old’s NASCAR Cup Series career.

The RFK Racing organization now has 140 wins in NASCAR Cup Series competition, and Monday’s triumph is the 14th for RFK Racing at the 2-mile oval in Michigan.

No issues were detected throughout the field in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Monday’s race are now considered official.

Martin Truex Jr., the regular season point leader, was the official runner-up of the race, while Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-five finishers.
