Homestead-Miami Speedway has announced their plan for taking care of fans who purchased tickets to their race weekend next week, who will now be unable to attend due to a mass outdoor gathering ban issued by the Miami-Dade County Mayor in an effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The speedway will issue ticket credit to fans for them to use for any race during the 2020 or 2021 NASCAR Racing Seasons at a track owned by NASCAR (ISC).

Homestead-Miami Speedway made the announcement via a statement on Friday.

Much like Atlanta Motor Speedway announced on Thursday, Homestead-Miami Speedway will not offer out-right refunds for the tickets which were made unusable due to the pandemic.

NASCAR was placed in a tough spot on Thursday, as the Miami-Dade Mayor’s office stated that the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway would need to be postponed, unless NASCAR was willing to run the event with no fans.

After much deliberation, NASCAR decided to keep the show going, but to run without fans for the next two weeks at Atlanta and Homestead.
