TNT Sports announced the broadcast booth its return to NASCAR coverage in 2025 On Monday. The three-man lineup will also be the announcer booth lineup for Prime Video’s inaugural season of NASCAR Cup Series coverage as well.

In addition to Dale Earnhardt Jr., who was already announced as part of the coverage team for Prime Video and TNT Sports in May, Steve Letarte and Adam Alexander will join the all-star booth.

Alexander will serve as the play-by-play commentator, and Letarte will join Earnhardt as an analyst in the booth. Prime Video, which will host five NASCAR Cup Series races beginning with the crown jewel Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, is pumped to have a potent group of commentators for its coverage.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dale, Steve, and Adam as official members of the Prime Video family,” said Jared Stacy, Director of Global Live Sports Production, Prime Video. “We are excited for this group to bring their collective experience, passion, and credibility to NASCAR fans as we begin our coverage next season.”

Letarte feels that the group assembled will help Prime Video continue building upon their sterling offering of sports broadcasts, which include Thursday Night Football.

“I am excited to be a part of Amazon Prime’s coverage of NASCAR. As a sports fan, I have really enjoyed Amazon’s Thursday Night Football coverage and believe that the same creative approach will be great for the NASCAR fan,” said Letarte.

In addition to the Coca-Cola 600, Prime Video will host coverage of the NASCAR Cup Series events at Nashville Superspeedway, Michigan International Speedway, Mexico City, and Pocono Raceway.

Likewise, TNT Sports is excited to hit the ground running in 2025 beginning with the Night Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 28 with its star-studded announcer booth.

“We are excited to welcome Adam and Steve to the TNT Sports family, joining Dale in the booth to give racing fans a thoughtful, entertaining, and engaging experience,” said Craig Barry, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, TNT Sports. “Their passion and knowledge for the sport, delivered in a more conversational format, will create a compelling narrative for each race and enhance the coverage for viewers as NASCAR returns to our platforms next year.”

Earnhardt and Letarte paired together as driver and crew chief in the NASCAR Cup Series from the 2011 season to the 2014 season. Letarte, who worked alongside Earnhardt in the announcer booth at NBC Sports up until Earnhardt departed NBC Sports heading into the 2024 season, is elated to rejoin his former driver.

“I am looking forward to joining the team at TNT Sports and working alongside Dale Jr. again in the booth,” said Letarte. “TNT has a long history of covering NASCAR and I am excited to contribute to that history next season when the green flag waves on TNT’s coverage in June.”

The former driver and crew chief combined for five victories over their four seasons together at Hendrick Motorsports, and the duo won the 2014 Daytona 500 together.

For Alexander, the role with TNT Sports is a reunion of sorts as he was the play-by-play commentator for NASCAR on TNT from 2010 to 2014.

“I’m very excited to return to TNT Sports as they renew their coverage of NASCAR,” said Alexander. “I have great respect for Dale and Steve and look forward to calling races with them.”

Prior to this move, Alexander had spent the last several seasons as the play-by-play commentator for FOX’s NASCAR Xfinity Series coverage and was the co-host of NASCAR Race Hub on FS1 until the show’s demise this past year.

TNT Sports will cover five consecutive races in the mid-portion of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season to the fanbase starting with Atlanta Motor Speedway in June and continuing with the Chicago Street Course, Sonoma Raceway, Dover Motor Speedway, and capping off with the Brickyard 400 in July.

“It’s so nostalgic to see TNT Sports return to NASCAR,” said Earnhardt Jr. “I enjoyed watching their coverage back in the day. I’m looking forward to being a part of the team and working with Adam (Alexander) and (Steve) Letarte.”

In November 2023 NASCAR announced a new seven-year Media Rights Deal, which would include incumbent media partners FOX Sports, and NBC Sports, but also included the returning TNT Sports, and the new Prime Video.

FOX Sports will carry the opening 13 races of the season, and will then make way to Prime Video, who will take over for a five-race stretch. TNT Sports will carry the next five races, and the season will finish with 13 consecutive races on the NBC Sports family of networks.
