Have you ever dreamt of being a part of a NASCAR Cup Series pit crew? Well, now, it’s possible thanks to the new Busch Crewmaster position. This slot on Kevin Harvick’s real-world Stewart-Haas Racing pit crew will pay a salary of $50,000 to a fan, who will learn what it’s like to be a pit crew member over the course of a year.

This is the first time, to my knowledge, that a sponsor has actually ponied up an entire year’s salary and given an actual pit crew position to a fan — for an entire season. Sure, sponsors and teams have had honorary crew members in the past, but it’s never been anything to this extent.

In addition to the $50,000 salary for the year, you’ll have the opportunity to attend every NASCAR Cup Series event, and you’ll even fly on the team’s plane and get to train with the SHR pit crew. You’ll also be assigned actual tasks on race day.

“I’m beyond grateful to work with such a skilled team at SHR, and it’s amazing to join Busch beer on this first-of-its-kind experience to offer one lucky fan the opportunity to get on-site training for their dream job while learning from the best of the best,” said Kevin Harvick in a press release.

According to the release from Busch Beer, this idea is a partnership between Busch Beer and the upcoming Netflix comedy show, ‘The Crew’, that premiers on February 15th and will star Kevin James and it follows a fictional NASCAR racing team.

So, how do you become an official member of Harvick’s crew in 2021 and collect a $50,000 salary in the process?

Well, you have to be 21-years old to be able to apply for the position. The job interview will actually take place live during the Daytona 500. During the race, a series of questions will be asked live during the FOX broadcast on February 14th.

Be quick, and answer all of the questions and you could be named the Busch Beer Crewmaster.

For Busch Beer, this is the latest program in a long-string of marketing programs that have made their brand one of the most interesting and interactive in the entire sport of NASCAR over the last few years.

“We love creating these unique NASCAR opportunities for fans to get involved with both the sport and our brand,” said Daniel Blake, VP of Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch. “No one has ever conducted an interview during the Daytona 500 or given a fan a shot at joining a driver’s Racing Crew for the season, and we’re hoping to find an amazing candidate to join our NASCAR family with this once-in-a-lifetime job.”
