Whoa, whoa, whoa. There will be some beautiful trucks running around the track in 2022. On Friday, Chevrolet revealed the new look for their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series model, the Chevrolet Silverado RST and the rendering is stunning.
Chevrolet chose the RST badge for their new NASCAR truck, to further cement that they mean business in 2022.
“The Silverado name means legendary performance both on and off the track, and the RST is the perfect example of that capability,” said Mark Sobczynski, Silverado Marketing manager. “With significant enhancements like a redesigned interior with standard 13.4-inch diagonal touchscreen, refreshed exterior and four different engine options, we’re excited for Chevy fans to experience the Silverado RST, regardless of whether they’re at the racetrack or their local dealership.”
The truck features a refreshed front facia, and overall, the truck just looks clean.
When Chevrolet went to work on the updates to the 2022 NASCAR Silverado RST, the thought was to attempt to make the race truck resemble the street model more closely.
“We’ve been racing the Silverado model exclusively in the NASCAR Truck Series since its inception in 1995,” said Dayne Pierantoni, Chevrolet Motorsports Program manager. “We’ve worked hard to enhance the features of the current race truck to continue to closely align with the production vehicle. We’re really looking forward to seeing our 2022 Silverado on-track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next season.”
The Chevrolet Silverado has remained unchanged in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since the current version was unveiled in 2018. Before that, the last update to the Chevrolet Silverado body was in 2014.

Back in September, Toyota unveiled their new NASCAR Tundra TRD for the 2022 season.
Ford has also showcased a new look for 2022.
NASCAR permitted the three manufacturers to update their noses for the new year, and they have all turned in some incredible new looks.
