Chase Briscoe posted an eerie Tweet on Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, Briscoe had just brought his dogs back after letting them out when about 40 seconds after returning inside his house, loud sounds of gunfire were heard within his neighborhood. Briscoe shared his account of the situation along with video from his Nest house camera.

Briscoe says in the Tweet that it was a drive-by shooting in his neighborhood and that luckily he wasn’t injured, nor was anyone else. However, while his home and property didn’t suffer any damage, many of his neighbors weren’t as fortunate.

The 25-year old driver currently leads the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings after 15 events in 2020. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver has already amassed five wins this season, and he has been close to victory on several other occasions.

Briscoe is set to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday.
