Over the summer months in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Chase Briscoe and the Stewart-Haas Racing team have been in a bit of a drought, not visiting victory lane in nearly two months, but on Sunday at Dover International Speedway, the drought would be ended for the 25-year old.

The Mitchell, Indiana-native led 107 laps en-route to his sixth victory of the 2020 season and the eighth victory of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career.

Briscoe first took the lead of the race from Justin Allgaier on lap 71, only releasing the top spot for a total of twenty-three laps during a green-flag pit stop cycle.

Stage one winner Ross Chastain finished in the runner-up position, with Austin Cindric, Brandon Jones and Daniel Hemric rounding out the top-five finishers in Sunday’s Drydene 200.

The race featured five caution flags for a total of twenty-four laps, with only two of those cautions being caused by on-track incidents, both involving Jeffrey Earnhardt’s No. 0 Chevrolet.

Polesitter Brett Moffitt finished tenth-place after leading the first twenty-five laps of the event.
