It looked like we were going to have an epic duel with Justin Allgaier and Tyler Reddick for the Stage 1 win in Friday night’s Food City 300 at Bristol, however with four laps remaining in the Stage, Reddick pushed too hard and got loose. Reddick would catch the side of Allgaier’s car to send him into the wall and then Reddick would spin out as well.

As the two were slowed by this issue, Brandon Jones skirted on by for the Stage win.

Reddick had worked his way from last place and a lap down, after failing pre-race inspection four times earlier in the day, to battle for the Stage win. However, his miscue led to Reddick ending the Stage in 24th-spot.

Allgaier held on to finish the Stage in second. Ryan Sieg was third, Michael Annett came home fourth and Noah Gragson ended up in fifth.

Landon Cassill, Kyle Busch, Gray Gaulding, Josh Williams and Garrett Smithley rounded out the top-10 in Stage 1.
