CMI Motorsports announced through a press release on Thursday, that they have added Bayley Currey as a driver of their No. 49 truck for the upcoming NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Strat 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Currey, a Texas native, has made 19 Truck Series starts in his career with a best finish of sixth coming at Michigan last year while driving for Niece Motorsports.

“I’m super excited to get back behind the wheel this season and pumped about the opportunity with Ray (Ciccarelli),” said Currey in the team release. “He has some great equipment and is an awesome guy to work with.”

Ciccarelli’s CMI Motorsports team has made 10 starts in the NGROTS over the last two years. Ciccarelli has driven the No. 49 truck in nine of those races, while Stefan Parsons started one race as well. The No. 49 truck finished inside the top-10 at Michigan, the same race Currey scored his career-best finish, last season with Ciccarelli behind the wheel.

Now, Ciccarelli is elated to welcome Currey into his equipment.

“I’m excited to have him on board with us in Las Vegas,” said Ray Ciccarelli owner of CMI Motorsports. “I’ve been lucky enough to race against him and watch him off the track and I think he’s the next super star.”
