It’ll be a homecoming of sorts for Bayley Currey, who hails from Driftwood, Texas, which is within spitting distance of Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, where the NASCAR Xfinity Series will compete this weekend in the Pit Boss 250. After they roll into COTA, Currey’s Mike Harmon Racing team will unload a very Texas-inspired lone star paint scheme.

Currey, 24, will feature JM Steel as the primary sponsor on the hood, Cutek as the co-primary on the quarter panels of the No. 74 machine as well as associate sponsors in Chasco Constructors and Fort Worth Screen Printing.

For Currey, it’s just an awesome deal getting a chance to race at a track that her personally was able to watch as it was being built.

“It’s pretty cool to have the opportunity to race at COTA, growing up 30 minutes from the track, I was able to watch it being built, and dreamed of racing here one day,” Currey said in a team release. “Now I have the chance. What’s even better is that I will have my family and friends at the track either in the campgrounds or the stands. I’m thankful to Mike [Harmon] and the entire team for the opportunity. I want to welcome Cutek for coming on board, Chasco [Constructors], Fort Worth Screen Printing, JM Steel, and Premier Mineral Inc., for your continued support.”

In 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts this season, Currey has a best finish of seventh, which came at Phoenix Raceway earlier in the year. Currey will look to better that as he searches for some home cooking this weekend.
