Baltazar Leguizamon will compete part-time in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026, partnering with the newly rebranded Barrett-Cope Racing to drive the No. 30 Chevrolet.

The 25-year-old driver will be making his first start of the campaign at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in late February, the same Austin, Texas-based road course that Leguizamon debuted at last Spring for Joey Gase Motorsports — finishing 37th.

Leguizamon will then return for at least two additional events in NASCAR’s second-tier division, running at Martinsville Speedway (March 28) and Watkins Glen International (May 9). The Argentinian driver will look to add more events to his schedule, in hopes of picking up his full NASCAR license by season’s end.

According to Leguizamon’s announcement, made Monday on social media, the No. 30 Barrett-Cope Racing Chevrolet Camaro that he will pilot in 2026 will be powered by ECR Engines, with a Satoro Racing Brembo partnership.

Leguizamon, a native of Arrecifes, Argentina, is the first driver to be confirmed as part of the Barrett-Cope Racing driver lineup for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign. It is unknown who will pilot the entry in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 14.

In December 2025, it was announced that Cope Family Racing — the organization responsible for fielding the No. 70 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series last year for Leland Honeyman and Thomas Annunziata — would be partnering with Stanton Barrett Motorsports to field a single entry, the No. 30, under the banner Barrett-Cope Racing.

The organization, fielding the No. 30, will retain the Owner Points from the Cope Family Racing team. George Church, a longtime partner of Derrike Cope, will serve as the shot-caller for the entry as the team enters its new era of existence.

Last season, while running under the banner of Cope Family Racing, the No. 70 Chevrolet was able to collect a pair of eighth-place finishes with Leland Honeyman at Atlanta Motor Speedway (now EchoPark Speedway) and Talladega Superspeedway, finishing the season 31st in series Owner Points.

When the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series heads to Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Leguizamon will be making his third attempt in the second-tier series, and will be driving for his third different organization — having attempted the same race in 2023 with CHK Racing (now Mike Harmon Racing) and in 2025 with Joey Gase Motorsports.

The Focused Health 250 at Circuit of The Americas will take place on Saturday, February 28 at 3:00 PM ET on The CW, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
