The sponsorship picture is becoming more clear for the No. 24 car which is driven by William Byron. Meanwhile, the picture continues to be muddy for Alex Bowman in the No. 88.

Axalta Coating Systems will sponsor the young Hendrick Motorsports duo for a total of 25 races in 2020, but Byron will be the main benefactor of the deal as his car will be sponsored by Axalta in 22 races.

Byron will have the Axalta flames on his car at: the Daytona 500, Las Vegas 1, Homestead, Texas 1, Bristol 1, Richmond 1, Talladega 1, Dover 1, Martinsville 1, All-Star Race, Kansas 1, Michigan 1, Sonoma, Pocono 1, Pocono 2, Kentucky, Michigan 2, Watkins Glen, Dover 2, Las Vegas 2, Charlotte Roval and Phoenix 2

This totally fills the primary sponsorship slate for Byron in 2020, as he also has a 12-race commitment from Liberty University and a four-race deal with Hertz.

This leaves three Axalta races for Bowman. To put things in perspective, Axalta sponsored Bowman for 12 races in 2019.

Bowman will have Axalta on his car in 2020 at: Phoenix 1, Atlanta and Daytona 2

Of course, Bowman is also coming off of losing Nationwide Insurance, who sponsored the majority of the season for the No. 88 team in 2019, so he will need to fill in a lot of gaps this season.

So far, Bowman has the three races from Axalta and a two-race deal with Cincinnati Inc. announced. Valvoline should kick in another race or two, but that is a long way away from the 33 races left that Bowman needs to fill.
