Austin Cindric led 36 laps and easily cruised to the Stage 2 win in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

However, the story is the Championship 4.

Christopher Bell ended Stage 2 the highest of the championship contenders in second. Justin Allgaier was third and Tyler Reddick was fourth.

The final championship contender, Cole Custer, however, spent the majority of the Stage a lap down.

Custer suffered a loose right rear wheel when the race went back to green for Stage 2, and with 30 laps remaining in the Stage, Custer made the call to come to pit road.

Mired deep in 18th spot, a lap off the pace, Custer was able to work his way back onto the lead lap on the final lap of the Stage. While Custer is behind, currently, he is not out of the running for the championship.

Chase Briscoe, who won Stage 1, finished fifth in Stage 2.

Noah Gragson, John Hunter Nemechek, Michael Annett, Harrison Burton and Brandon Jones rounded out the top-10 runners in Stage 2.
