Coming off a statement win at Loudon, Aric Almirola will look to ride the momentum when he joins the ARCA Midwest Tour field on Tuesday, August 3rd at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Speed51 reported the addition late Wednesday night, as he will pilot a No. 5 Ford for Wauters Motorsports in the 250 lap feature.

Other NASCAR-related names are expected in the field including Johnny Sauter, Derek Kraus, and defending winner Ty Majeski.

The Florida-born driver has some luck on his side when it comes to the state of Wisconsin. Fans may recall a 2007 performance during his time with Joe Gibbs Racing when subbing for Denny Hamlin at the Milwaukee Mile. Thanks to a Cup race in Sonoma, California, Hamlin was unable to qualify his No. 20 car, as JGR gave Almirola the nod to put the car on pole. After starting the race thanks to a helicopter landing delay, Almirola was pulled from the car mid-race to put Hamlin in the car. Hamlin won, but Almirola was credited with the victory.

Majeski has won the last two consecutive runnings of the event, a streak Almirola will look to end on Tuesday.
