After venturing into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the second time last weekend at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Ryan Roulette is back on track for another start in the ARCA Menards Series on Memorial Day Weekend.
Roulette, a U.S. Air Force B-52 Pilot, will be driving the No. 67 VFW Ford Mustang for Maples Motorsports in Friday’s General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, as the entire NASCAR community celebrates the sacrifices made by the troops.
“We are excited to get back out on the track this weekend in the ARCA Menards Series for the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” Roulette tells TobyChristie.com. “The No. 67 team has two top-10s this season [Daytona and Kansas] and has led laps too at Talladega.”
A native of Minot, North Dakota, Roulette has made 16 previous starts in the ARCA Menards Series between 2022 and now, notching a best finish of eighth place at Salem Speedway in 2024. Friday’s 150-mile contest will mark Roulette’s second start at Charlotte, the first of which resulted in a 16th-place finish last May.
“We are going into this race weekend with confidence and excited to share the track with a special group of heroes riding along with us. Originally known as Decoration Day following the Civil War, it became an official holiday for all of us in 1971. It is a National Day of Observance for our country as we acknowledge the greatest of sacrifices of our men and women in the armed services. This weekend is very special to our organization.”
Riding above the passenger side door of the No. 67 Maples Motorsports Ford this weekend at Charlotte will be the Callsign TORQE 62, a C-130J that had a tragic accident while departing Jalalabad, Afghanistan on October 2, 2015. Aboard that plane were some of Roulette’s Squadron members, but also friends of his.
Together, Roulette and Maples Motorsports come together in remembrance at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Joining Roulette at the racetrack at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be Ragene Warner, a retired Chief Warrant Officer that enlisted in the Army in 1987 as a Food Service Specialist, and was appointed as a Warrant Officer in July 2008.
Warner had the opportunity to serve the United States in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, as well as Operation Inherent Resolve. She is a Gold Legacy Life Member at Post 8969 in Lumberton, North Carolina.
The General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway will take place on Friday, May 23, with the event taking place at 6:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
