Venturini Motorsports continues to add to their driver list for 2023, this time adding a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular.

The team announced on Friday that Tricon Garage Driver Dean Thompson would join VMS for five ARCA Menards Series races at Kansas (May), Charlotte, Mid-Ohio, Pocono, and Phoenix in the fall.

“I’m super stoked to continue my partnership with Toyota by signing with Billy and Venturini Motorsports. They have established themselves as the pinnacle of ARCA and contenders to win at every race they enter. I know we will be competing for wins, and I can’t wait to get started,” said Thompson in the release.

The 21-year-old driver joins Amber Balcean, Toni Breidinger, Jesse Love, Conner Jones, Sean Hingorani, and Isabella Robusto as part of the team’s driver lineup in 2023.

The Anaheim, California native has ten total ARCA Series starts between the main and ARCA West Series. His best finish was a sixth place in 2021 at Sonoma in the ARCA West Series. He has raced in ARCA at both Kansas and Phoenix before in 2021.

Thompson is also currently full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the no. 5 for Tricon Garage.

“My goals are to always be up front and win races. My time in the truck series has taught me so much about the tracks I’ll be racing at this year with VMS so I know that I’ll be able to accomplish these goals with the team,” added Thompson.

You can watch Thompson’s debut with Venturini Motorsports at Kansas Speedway on May 6th on FS1.
