Casey Carden, a part-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series for Clubb Racing Inc., will attempt to make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in Saturday’s Shriners Children’s 200 at Watkins Glen International.
The Braselton, Georgia-native will partner with CHK Racing for Saturday’s annual trip to the 2.45-mile road course, as he pilots the organization’s flagship No. 74 Chevrolet Camaro in the second-to-last road course event of the season. Reel Racing will join the team as primary sponsor.
“I am very thankful that Mike Harmon has given me the opportunity to try to qualify for the Xfinity race at Watkins Glen and that Reel Racing has come aboard to support me for this race,” said Carden. “I’m hoping my road course background and ARCA experience will help me make the show as I live the dream this Saturday.”
In five career starts in the ARCA Menards Series, Carden has notched a single finish inside the top-15, after scoring a lead-lap run for Clubb Racing Inc. at Watkins Glen in 2022, coming home 15th.
“We are pleased to have Casey Carden in our CHK Racing #74 Chevrolet Camaro during the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen,” said Mike Harmon. “Carden has experience on road courses in the ARCA Series and will be a great strength for us.”
In addition to attempting his Xfinity Series debut on Saturday, Carden will also get some on-track experience on Friday, as he competes in the ARCA Menards Series event at Watkins Glen, driving the No. 31 for Rise Motorsports.
“Over the last year, I have watched Tim and Rita, build Rise Motorsports. They have done a tremendous job building not only a team but a brand,” said Carden about his opportunity with Rise Motorsports. “Knowing the effort they put in to their program is very strong motivation to deliver a quality performance at Watkins Glen”.
ReelMedia.com will also provide sponsorship of Carden’s entry in the ARCA Menards Series event at Watkins Glen on Friday, August 18th.
