ARCA Video: Drew Dollar and Corey Heim Crash Out Battling for the Lead in Dutch Boy 150 Kansas

Unbelievable! The dominant Corey Heim, who had been the lone constant at the front of the field in Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series Dutch Boy 150 at Kansas Speedway, slammed into the wall via Drew Dollar washing up the racetrack in a side-by-side battle on a restart, taking both drivers out of the race.

Heim had led every lap until this incident.

This marks the second time in three starts that Dollar has crashed out of a race this season. Following his day ending in a separate incident a few laps later, Dollar called the incident a racing deal.

“Yeah, just a racing incident really there,” Dollar said. “I made a mistake that took us out of it. Just tough when somebody is on your outside and you get loose. So obviously, just a racing deal and a mistake. Hate that I ruined Corey’s day and hate that I did that to the guys. Obviously, that’s a car capable of winning and I messed it up. Hate that it happened to Corey, obviously, have a lot of respect for him. Talked to him and apologized. I have a lot of respect for him and he’s a great racecar driver.”

This leaves the two Rev Racing teammates to battle it out for the win, with other front runners such as Gus Dean and Connor Mosack up there as well.

After the incident, Billy Venturini — car owner and crew chief for Heim — didn’t hold back in letting it be known what he thinks of Dollar.

‘Great Kid, Does Not Need to Be a Racecar Driver,” Billy Venturini Upset After Dollar, Heim Wreck for Lead at Kansas

Following the disappointing end to the race, Heim took to Twitter to speak about his frustrations.
