Landen Lewis took the win in Saturday night’s ARCA Menards Series West race at Kern County Raceway Park.

First career ARCA Menards Series West start? No problem for Landen Lewis as he scored the victory at Kern County Raceway Park on Saturday night, piloting the No. 42 Chevrolet SS for Cook Racing Technologies.

Here is video of the final laps of Saturday night’s race, where Lewis scored the win:

Jake Drew led a good portion of the race in his Sunrise Racing No. 6 Ford, but in the end it wasn’t enough to stop the 16-year old, Lewis.

Lewis won at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds last summer in his second ever ARCA Menards Series start, so this win in the West seems to be a characteristic of the young driver of picking up on things right away.

With Drew in the runner-up spot, it was ARCA West contenders Cole Moore, Tanner Reif, and P.J. Pedroncelli rounding out the top-five finishers.

Reif sits just five points back of Drew in the West Series standings after Saturday night’s epic showdown, with Moore only being six back, as the championship fight is already heating up early in the season.

The ARCA Menards Series West  heads to Portland International Raceway for their next race, but that event is not until June 4th.
