Spotter’s Guide and Pit Assignments for the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America

Road America is ahead for the field of 27 entrants in the NTT IndyCar Series, the eighth round of the 2022 season, concluding three straight weekends in competition.

On Sunday, a 55 lap event around the longest circuit on the schedule, the 4.01-mile track that sits on a 640-acre park. The Sonsio Grand Prix is 220.55 miles, which makes it the longest street or road course race by distance so far this season.

The charts below are a spotter’s guide to know how to find each car at the track or on television. Here is the full weekend schedule as there are a full three-days of action with an extended first practice, two more sessions that follow on Saturday with qualifying in between.

Following the guide are the pit-assignments for entire weekend, Josef Newgarden will have the first stall exiting out of pit-road.

Another entry is added with Simona De Silvestro and the No. 16 Paretta Autosport Chevrolet team, in association with Ed Carpenter Racing. The organization is set to compete in their first of three races this season.
