A field of 26 from the NTT IndyCar Series will take to the track for this weekend’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.

Defending race winner Alex Palou is among those that will push the pace around the 17-turn, 2.3-mile permanent natural terrain road course. The circuit has hosted IndyCar since 2010 (note: no race in 2020 due to COVID) with Team Penske racking up an impressive six wins (Josef Newgagrden-3, Will Power-2, Helio Castroneves-1) in the event’s 11 races. Six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon is still searching for victory at Barber Motorsports Park despite being on the podium a remarkable nine times.

Firestone will provide six sets of primary (black sidewall) tires, and four sets of the alternate (red sidewall) compound, with rookies will receive one additional set for opening practice.

Additionally, there will be 200 seconds of Push-to-Pass available for the 90-lap race, which will allow a maximum burst of up to 20 seconds per use. The boost is not available on the initial start or restart unless it is the final two laps or three minutes of a timed race.

The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama will start Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET on NBC.
