While the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season is winding down with just two races left, it’s never too late for the first in the series. Mason Ludwig will be one of those firsts as he’s set to make his series debut in the finale at Toledo Speedway.

Ludwig is teaming up with Spraker Racing Enterprises for the Shore Lunch 200 at the series home track of Toledo.

“I owe an incredible amount of thanks to those who have had a hand in making this happen. My current employer, Mike Cheek, owner of Grumpy’s Performance introduced me to Jeff Spraker, owner of Spraker Racing Enterprises. It’s because of their confidence in me as a driver that I even have this opportunity,” the 21-year-old said.

Teaming up with him and Spraker Racing are Bell Wire, a Michigan-based telecommunications company, and SpeedNut Apparel Co.

“Having the support of commendable businesses like Bell Wire and SpeedNut Apparel makes an opportunity like this surreal. Bell Wire came on board for this race…SpeedNut Apparel has been with me for several years, and I have enjoyed being a brand ambassador for their cool apparel,” added the North Branch, Michigan.

Since the age of seven, Mason has made him through the short-track racing scenes in Michigan and North Carolina. Including the INEX State of Michigan Young Lions championship in 2016 and two feature wins in the NASCAR All-American Series at Hickory Motor Speedway.

“Racing in the ARCA Series has been a long-time dream of mine. This season has really made the itch super intense. I’ve enjoyed working at several of the ARCA races this season as a mechanic for another team. As a driver myself, it’s not easy to sit back and watch the car drive down pit lane knowing from that point on everything is out of my hands. I truly enjoy working on the cars, but, I’d rather be behind the wheel,” he added.

You can catch Ludwig’s debut at Toledo on Saturday, October 7th at 4 P.M. ET live on FS2 and FloRacing.
