Venturini Motorsports announced Tuesday that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular John Hunter Nemechek will be joining the team for the upcoming ARCA Menards Series race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

This will mark the 25-year-old’s debut in the series, as he looks to wheel his No. 55 Mobil 1 Toyota Camry to a victory while gaining extra track time for his Truck race the next day.

“I’m looking forward to running Mid-Ohio this weekend with Toyota and Venturini Motorsports, with Mobil 1 on board,” Nemechek said in a release. “Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite road courses to go to and being able to run two races there this weekend and get extra laps before the truck race is very valuable and a huge opportunity. Ready to go chase a couple checkered flags this weekend.”

Team owner Billy Venturini will sit atop the box for Nemechek, calling the shots for the team as crew chief.

“Working with TRD opens the availability for us to work with some incredible young drivers,” said Billy. “He’s more experienced than most of the drivers when I get them. It’s a privilege to have John Hunter be a part of Venturini Motorsports and hopefully we can bring home the win for Toyota.”

Nemechek has scored one win and six top fives so far in the Truck Series season, and will look to add to that on Mid-Ohio weekend.

The ARCA Menards Series Dawn 150 is set to begin at 5:00pm ET on Friday, July 8th, with live television coverage on FS1.
