Doug Coby scored a second-straight win in Tommy Baldwin Jr.’s No. 7NY entry at Lee USA Speedway on Saturday.

Doug Coby keeps on winning. At Lee USA Speedway on Saturday, in the Granite State Derby 175 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event, Coby dominated the second-half of the race and he fended off a last ditch effort from Jon McKennedy on an overtime finish to win the race.

Here is video of the finish, where Coby secured the win:

This marks Coby’s second-consecutive NWMT victory, driving for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the No. 7NY entry and it’s Coby’s 33rd-career NWMT victory.

The last two races have been special, as Coby has carried a special, “Get Well Soon Kayla,” decal on the rear quarter panel of his race car in honor of the daughter of Jimmy Blewett.

Blewett was set to drive the Tommy Baldwin Racing machine, but due to the hospitalization of his daughter, he has been away from the track.

For McKennedy, the second-place finish is his best effort of the 2022 season, so far.

Following Coby and McKennedy to the finish was Matt Hirschman, who was the man to beat through the opening 100 laps of the event. However, pit strategy mired Hirschman deep in the field and he had troubles battling back to the front.

However, the winner of the season-opening race at New Smyrna was able to finish top-three.

Ron Silk finished fourth while Jake Johnson, who started from the pole, rounded out the top-five finishers in the race.
