NASCAR Xfinity Series regular Brandon Jones will compete in a total of five ARCA Menards Series races this season, Joe Gibbs Racing announced on Wednesday.

Jones’ campaign starts Friday evening at Charlotte Motor Speedway where he will pilot the No. 81 for JGR and finish out the year with races at Iowa Speedway (June 11), Pocono Raceway (July 22), Watkins Glen International (August 19), and Bristol Motor Speedway (September 15).

Menards, a longtime partner for Jones, will join with Tide as the primary sponsor on Jones’ Toyota.

“After an up and down race last weekend we are anxious to head to Charlotte Motor Speedway.” Jones said in the team release. “I always love coming to Charlotte twice a year with it being so close to home and have been able to show great success in the past. While my focus will be on the Xfinity Series, I am also competing in the ARCA Menards Series Friday night. I will be looking for how the car progresses, work on passing areas and competitive restarts the whole time to use towards Saturday’s race.”

Currently sixth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings, the 25-year-old has had a solid season with him scoring a win this year in a wild finish at Martinsville earlier this year. Jones has backed that win up with six top-10’s and two top-five’s in the 12 races so far this year.

The Georgia-native made two ARCA starts in 2021, scoring two top-five’s at Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen. Jones’ last win in the series came at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2018, where he makes his first start of 2022 on Friday night.

The ARCA Menards Series General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is scheduled for 6:00p.m. ET on FS1.
