Conor Daly will add the NASCAR Xfinity Series to a rapidly-growing list of racing series he’s competed in this year, announcing Tuesday that he’ll compete in the Pennzoil 150 Presented by Advance Auto Parts at Indy’s Road Course.

A native of Noblesville, Indiana, Daly, a 10-time starter of the Indianapolis 500, will join Alpha Prime Racing to pilot the No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro in the event, marking his second-ever start in the second-tier series.

Gilreath Farms and AAN Adjusters, long-time sponsors of team co-owner Tommy Joe Martins, will return to the organization as co-primary sponsors of Daly’s entry for the August 12 event in Indianapolis.

Sharing the news to social media on Tuesday, Daly said: “Really appreciate Alpha Prime Racing giving me a chance to race at my home track [Indianapolis Motor Speedway] on Brickyard weekend. Will be fun to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series again.”

The 31-year-old driver has had a busy season to date, which has encompassed several different forms of motorsports including both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he’s competed in a combined three events.

Daly has one previous start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, coming five years ago at Road America, where he piloted the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang to a 31st-place finish in 2018.

The NTT IndyCar Series veteran will join a growing list of drivers to compete in the Alpha Prime Racing stable in 2023, which includes Ryan Ellis, Sage Karam, Leland Honeyman, Rajah Caruth, Jeffrey Earnhardt, and several others.

Dylan Lupton, Greg Van Alst, Brad Perez, and Mason Massey have also taken turns behind the wheel of the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado over the course of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season, which has been anchored by Jeffrey Earnhardt.
