David Starr, a long-time NASCAR National Series veteran, will attempt to qualify for his fourth NASCAR Xfinity Series event of the season at Nashville Superspeedway, joining forces with Emerling-Gase Motorsports.

A native of Houston, Texas, Starr will get behind the wheel of the No. 35 Chevrolet Camaro in next weekend’s Tennessee Lottery 200, with primary sponsorship from Kales Truck & Heavy Equipment.

“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Kales Truck & Heavy Equipment because they represent the American dream,” said Starr. “It is inspiring to see how far they have come from a small business, to where they are today. I’m excited to have them on board for the ride and help share their story to NASCAR fans across the country.”

The June 24 event at the 1.33-mile speedway in Lebonan, Tennessee, marks the first-ever NASCAR sponsorship for the company, which began as a small grassroots heavy-duty repair business, growing to become a national fleet maintenance specialist.

Kales Truck & Heavy Equipment has overhauled how companies manage maintenance and fixed R&M cost onsite models. To gain business, the company also offers consulting, managing, and staffing services.

The 55-year-old driver will partner with a third organization this season, after competing in events for both Our Motorsports and SS GreenLight Racing earlier this season. Nashville will mark the first partnership between Starr and Emerling-Gase Motorsports.
