Greg Biffle, who has competed in the SRX Racing Series for a total of eight races over the last two seasons, will return to the series in 2023 as he’ll contest the July 20th event at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont.

SRX Racing made the announcement of Biffle’s addition to the 2023 driver roster on Friday.

“I am so excited to return to the SRX series for a third season,” said Biffle in an SRX Racing press release. “What I look forward to the most is getting to compete with 12 of the best drivers in the world and see new racetracks. I can’t wait to experience Thunder Road for the first time!”

SRX Racing’s CEO Don Hawk feels that Biffle, a talented short-track racer, will be among those expected to compete for the overall win at Thunder Road.

“Greg Biffle on a short track like Thunder Road makes so much sense for SRX,” said Hawk. “[Greg] is a craftsman on short tracks, and he will be a threat to win there with his skill set. Welcome back Greg.”

The Vancouver, Washington native scored a best finish of second at South Boston Speedway in SRX Racing competition a season ago, and he finished second in his series debut at Stafford Motor Speedway in 2021. “The Biff” will now look to etch his name in the SRX Racing history books as a race winner in 2023.

Biffle, who was named to the NASCAR 75 Greatest Drivers List, and who scored 19 victories over the course of his NASCAR Cup Series career, joins a star-studded driver lineup for the 2023 SRX Racing Series.

In addition to his NASCAR Cup Series triumphs, the 53-year-old Biffle was a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion in 2000 and the NASCAR Xfinity Series champion in 2002.

The 2023 SRX Racing Series begins a six-week season on July 13th. For 2023, the series will race on Thursday nights and television coverage will be provided each week at 9:00 PM ET by ESPN, which has dusted off its Thursday Night Thunder branding for the series.
