Kyle Busch officially scored his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of the 2023 season in Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. NASCAR confirmed Busch as the official winner of the race after his race-winning No. 8 Richard Childress Racing McLaren Custom Grills Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 cleared post-race inspection.

The 37-year-old Busch scored the win after a last-lap dust-up between race leader Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney paved the way for Busch to sneak past the duo in the bottom line before the field was frozen due to a crash.

This latest victory marks the 62nd of the Las Vegas native’s illustrious NASCAR Cup Series career, and it is Busch’s second win since moving to Richard Childress Racing last offseason.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s GEICO 500 are now official.

NASCAR will take the No. 2 car, the No. 5 car and the No. 45 car back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further inspection.

Ryan Blaney was the official runner-up finisher of the race and he was followed by Chris Buescher, Chase Briscoe, and Brad Keselowski in the top five.
