Nick Sanchez is not playing around when it comes to qualifying during his rookie NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign. The 21-year-old Rev Racing driver scored his second pole in five attempts on Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway and he’ll lead the field of 36 to the green flag in the SpeedyCash.com 250.

Aside from a 20th-place starting position at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where qualifying was rained out, Sanchez has had top-five starting positions in all of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races this season.

Sanchez scored the pole by nearly a tenth of a second over Jack Wood, who pilots the No. 51 Chevrolet Silverado for Kyle Busch Motorsports, which has a technical alliance with Sanchez’s Rev Racing team.

Ty Majeski, a 2022 NASCAR Truck Series championship 4 contender who is searching for his first win of 2023, will start from the third position and he’ll be joined by Corey Heim in the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra in row two.

Carson Hocevar, Christian Eckes, Stewart Friesen, Tyler Ankrum, Jake Garcia and Ben Rhodes will round out the top-10 starters for Saturday’s SpeedyCash.com 250 at Texas.

Four trucks did not take time in the qualifying session.

Matt DiBenedetto, Tyler Hill, Kaden Honeycutt and Spencer Boyd. Honeycutt failed to take time after suffering a huge crash in practice for Saturday’s race. Hill also crashed in practice. With only 36 trucks at Texas Motor Speedway, no driver was scheduled to miss the event, but it’ll be tight on whether Hill or Honeycutt will run the race after their crashes.
