Myatt Snider has gotten his six-race stint with Joe Gibbs Racing off to a positive start, leading the sole NASCAR Xfinity Series practice in advance of Saturday’s Beef. It’s What’s for Diner. 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

Piloting the No. 19 TreeTop, Inc. Toyota GR Supra, Snider was the only driver to break into the 47-second bracket in Friday’s practice session, posting a time of 47.965 seconds (187.637mph).

Snider’s teammates at Joe Gibbs Racing, Sammy Smith and John Hunter Nemechek, posted the sixth and seventh-quickest times on Friday, continuing the trend of organizations and manufacturers being bunched together on the timesheet.

Riley Herbst and Cole Custer, teammates at Stewart-Haas Racing, ranked eighth and ninth in the session, while the organization’s alliance partner, AM Racing, placed its brand-new No. 25 Ford Mustang in 10th.

Of the 44 drivers who entered the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300 at Daytona, only Ryan Ellis, piloting a third entry for Alpha Prime Racing, failed to make a lap in the 50-minute session.

Qualifying for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway will take place on Saturday at 11:30 am ET.
