The chrome gold numbers will be back for six races in 2023. Jeremy Clements Racing and First Pacific Funding announced on Thursday that the two entities will continue their long-standing partnership for another NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

“From day one, this partnership has been friendship first, and to be able to help Jeremy and his team succeed has been priority No. 1,” Steve Carnes, President of First Pacific Funding said to TobyChristie.com. “This team is infectious, they are hard-working, determined, blue-collar people. One DM on Twitter started this whole process, and here we are.

“We are part of the long-term with JCR, assisting where we can with B2B help as well”

Clements, according to a Tweet from First Pacific Funding Racing, will pilot the No. 51 First Pacific Funding Chevrolet Camaro for the first time in 2023 at Auto Club Speedway on February 25th.

Here is the full official 2023 primary sponsorship schedule for First Pacific Funding on the No. 51 car

  • Auto Club Speedway (February 25)
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway (March 4)
  • Martinsville Speedway (April 15)
  • Darlington Raceway (May 13)
  • Texas Motor Speedway (September 23)
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway (October 14)

The Darlington Raceway event, which is NASCAR’s official Throwback weekend, will come with a special Geoff Bodine throwback scheme.

Back in December, Carnes released a photo on Twitter with the caption, “This throwback shirt for Darlington,” with a fire emoji.

This appears to be Clements’ throwback scheme for 2023, which pays homage to Geoff Bodine’s Levi Garrett scheme from his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports days.

Jeremy Clements and the No. 51 team had an electric 2022 season, as the 38-year-old scored his second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in a wild event at Daytona International Speedway.

Overall, the South Carolina native recorded two top-five finishes and five top-10s during the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, which resulted in a 12th-place finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship point standings.

With the good results in 2022, the team has dug in deeper with engineering partnerships and additional help in an effort to push their program to the next level in 2023.

“2023 will be different,” Carnes stated. “More power, engineering assistance, and a top-10 Cup Crew doing out pit stops. The sky is the limit.”
