Aric Almirola will have a brand new look on his No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing ride in September’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, as Renegade, an insurance agency, will adorn his Ford Mustang.

While the primary sponsorship will not happen until September, Almirola and the No. 10 team will have associate sponsorship from Renegade for the remainder of the 2022 season, beginning this weekend in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Stewart-Haas Racing made the announcement of the new sponsorship in the form of a press release on Tuesday morning.

Almirola, who is in his final season in NASCAR Cup Series competition, says the feeling of bringing in a new sponsorship partner has always been a rewarding experience.

“This is my 11th fulltime season in the NASCAR Cup Series, but it never gets old bringing a new partner into the sport,” said Almirola in a team release. “Renegade is an ambitious company that is striving for the same thing we are – to be the best and deliver results. It’s an honor to have them on my racecar.”

For the insurance company, the world of NASCAR is an obvious fit with their business.

“NASCAR is a fast-paced sport and Renegade embodies that expeditious need for change in the insurance industry for our agents, customer and carrier partners. We’ve partnered with Stewart-Haas Racing to help tell our story,” said Rashik Adhikari, founder and CEO, Renegade.

Through 12 races in 2022, Almirola has scored four top-10 finishes and he sits securely in the 12th spot in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings. Almirola has made the Playoffs in each of the last four seasons, and he is looking like a safe bet to pull off the feat one more time this season.

The Florida-native’s best finish, so far this season, is a fifth-place effort in the season-opening Daytona 500.
