Front Row Motorsports Penalty Upheld, Four-Race Suspensions Stand

On Wednesday, NASCAR announced that it will uphold the penalty to Front Row Motorsports’s No. 38 team in the NASCAR Cup Series from Auto Club Speedway, following an appeal heard by the National Motorsports Appeals Panel.

The No. 38 faced the penalties following losing a wheel during the Wise Power 400.

Seth Barbour (crew chief), Tanner Andrews (front tire changer) and Jourdan Osinske (jack) will all be suspended for the next four NASCAR Cup Series events.

On Thursday, Front Row Motorsports issued a statement that they accepted the penalties and the announced Troy Raker, the team engineer, will serve as the No. 38 crew chief for the next four NASCAR Cup Series races.

Here is the full statement from FRM:

Front Row Motorsports respects and accepts the decision by the National Motorsports Appeals Panel regarding the penalty to our No. 38 Ford Mustang at the Auto Club Speedway.

The team will move forward this weekend with Troy Raker, team engineer, serving as crew chief for the next four events.

The team will also make the required changes to its pit crew members.

The team will also have Daniel Kincaid filling in as their front tire changer, while Courtney Edmonds will serve as the jack man for the team for the next four races.

Todd Gilliland, the driver of the No. 38 car, is sitting 28th in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings after the first four races this year.
