Video: William Byron, Tyler Reddick Go For Spins Early in Friday Next Gen Test

In the early portion of Friday’s Next Gen testing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron went for a spin in turns 3 and 4. The driver of the No. 24 made contact with the outside wall with his rear bumper, which caused cosmetic damage to his car.

Here is a replay from NASCAR of Byron’s spin (it’s way off in the distance).

Here’s another look at the damage on Byron’s car:

Byron’s team was able to get the car repaired.

Not to be outdone, Tyler Reddick found trouble again on Friday. While Reddick crashed into the sand barrels and damaged his car on Wednesday, this time around, Reddick avoided damage and just popped some tires trying to come to a stop.

Here are the tires that were changed off of Reddick’s No. 8 car following the spin:

Reddick’s spin came on lap 18 of a simulated race run with the six-inch offset spoiler installed on the cars.
