Video: Kyle Busch Hits Wall Hard, Done For the Night in Southern 500

It has been a rough night for NASCAR Cup Series Playoff contenders in the 2021 Cook Out Southern 500. Kyle Busch is the latest championship contender, who has found trouble as he lost control after a tap while battling Austin Dillon on lap 124, and pancaked the wall with his No. 18 Toyota Camry.

Busch drove his wrecked car to the garage and immediately climbed out signaling that his night was officially over.

After the crash, Busch sped through the garage entrance on pit road and even ran over safety cones in frustration:

Busch joins Michael McDowell (who is out of the race), Alex Bowman, William Byron and Chase Elliott as championship contenders in this race who have suffered substantial damage.

The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will finish 35th in the 37-car field on Sunday.
