Jake Griffin will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at World Wide Technology Raceway, as Niece Motorsports announced on Monday Afternoon that he’d pilot the No. 45 Great Escapes RV Center Chevrolet Silverado.

“I’m really excited to get a chance behind the wheel at Niece Motorsports,” said Griffin.  “Every driver dreams of the chance to get to race at this level, in equipment capable of winning, so I’m looking forward to making the most of the opportunity.”

Griffin has made eight NASCAR Truck Series starts in his career, earning a career-best fourth-place finish on the dirt at Eldora in 2016, driving for Red Horse Racing.

The Illinois-native has participated in both the dirt races this season in the No. 34 for Reaume Brothers Racing, earning a season-best 12th-place finish at Knoxville last month.

“We are thrilled to have Jake join Niece Motorsports for Gateway,” said Niece Motorsports General Manager Cody Efaw.  “He’s had some really solid runs in the Truck Series in just a few starts, and I think we will have a great chance to continue that.  Gateway is a fun track and should really suit his driving style.”

The Toyota 200 Presented by CK Power at World Wide Technology Raceway will take place Friday, August 20 at 9:00pm | ET, with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90).
