On Monday Afternoon, late model racer Daniel Dye announced his intentions of running for the 2021  ARCA Menards Series East Championship, piloting the No. 43 Chevrolet SS for Ben Kennedy Racing in the series’ eight scheduled events next season.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to drive for such a distinguished organization in Ben Kennedy Racing,” stated Dye. “BKR is a first-class operation and a great group of people to work with. I’m thankful to have their total support of our partners and me for another year.”

The 17-year-old partnered with BKR for a pair of ARCA Menards Series East events in 2020, scoring a season-high effort of seventh at Five Flags Speedway. Dye also made a pair of starts in the CARS Late Model Tour last season, scoring a top-five finish on debut at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“We’re all very excited to have Daniel driving for us again in 2021 behind the wheel of the No. 43 for BKR,” commented team owner Ben Kennedy. “It has been great working alongside Daniel this year, and I’m confident we will be competing for many victories next season.”

In addition to the schedule expansion for Ben Kennedy Racing in the ARCA Menards Series East, the team has formed a technical alliance with GMS Racing, which will see the two organizations working together closely to prepare the Chevrolets that Dye will compete for a championship with in 2021.

“We’re proud of the progress Daniel made last year with BKR, and we’re looking forward to having him and his partners on board with us for the 2021 season,” said Ben Kennedy Racing Vice President Jimmy Kitchens.

Over the offseason, the DeLand, Florida-native entered the Snowball Derby for the first-time in his young career, locking himself into the show with the sixth fastest lap in time trials. Dye would finish the 300-lap event in 14th

Dye is the second driver to announce intentions of chasing the East Series Championship next season, with Jack Wood confirmed the pilot the GMS Racing No. 21 full-time next season.

Joey Iest – a frequent competitor in the West Series — will run at least six events for DGR-Crosley in 2021, with the possibility of adding more as the season progresses.
