Bret Holmes Earns First Career ARCA Victory in Dominating Performance at Kansas

Bret Holmes put on a clinic in Friday’s Dawn 150 at Kansas Speedway, earning the first career victory for himself and Bret Holmes Racing in the ARCA Menards Series.

The 23-year old dominated the event, leading 82 of 100 laps, en route to a commanding 14.5 second lead by lap 100 of the event.

Ryan Repko, Riley Herbst, Corey Heim and Tanner Gray rounded out the top-five finishers in the ninth event of the 2020 season.

Michael Self – the points leader entering tonight’s event — finished in sixth-place, while championship rivals Drew Dollar and Hailie Deeganfinished ninth and seventh respectively.

The race featured a total of three caution flags for thirteen laps, including a scary accident by rookie driver Russ Lane, when his No. 8 Toyota Camry broke loose off of turn two, sliding into the inside wall hard.
