NASCAR has issued their post-event penalty report following the action in Kentucky Speedway this past week. Noticeably absent from the report were any penalties for the brawl that broke out in the aftermath of the NASCAR Xfinity Series event between Noah Gragson and Harrison Burton.

NASCAR had just sent teams a memo — which leaked to the public — earlier in the week leading up to Kentucky Speedway encouraging teams to take their COVID-19 protocols more seriously, as failure to do so could risk in the sport having to shut back down. This in addition to the fact that this was the first real post-race fight following a race post-COVID-19, led many to believe penalties were coming.

However, Gragson and Burton were able to escape their scuffle without any fines or penalties.

One team that did face penalties though was the No. 51 Jeremy Clements Racing team. Team owner Anthony Clements was slapped with a $10,000 fine for non compliance of the essential team personnel team roster protocols.
