NAPA Auto Parts Extends Sponsorship of Hendrick, Chase Elliott Thru 2022

The contract for Chase Elliott’s primary sponsor — NAPA Auto Parts — was set to expire at the conclusion of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. Well, the auto parts retailer has seen enough reasons to stick with the 24-year old driver and have announced a two year extension thru the 2022 season.

Hendrick Motorsports released the news.

In the press release, it states that NAPA will continue to be the primary sponsor on Elliott’s car for 26-races per season from 2020 to 2022.

“NAPA constantly shows how committed they are to not only the success of their business but to the success of our team and Hendrick Motorsports as a whole,” Elliott said. “I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done for me since 2014. I get the chance to meet NAPA employees across the country throughout the NASCAR season, and to be able to represent all of them week in and week out is truly an honor. We look forward to having them on board for the years ahead.”

For NAPA, it’s a no-brainer to be paired with a young driver, who has a penchant for winning races. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that Elliott is the sport’s Most Popular Driver over the past two seasons.

“NAPA is proud to continue our partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and Chase Elliott, which serves as a key component of our marketing efforts,” said Gaylord Spencer, senior vice president, marketing, for NAPA AUTO PARTS. “Motor sports is a natural fit for NAPA, and we are fortunate to be associated with winners like Hendrick Motorsports and Chase Elliott. Our partnership remains strong, and we look forward to continued success in the years to come.”

Elliott, who hails from Georgia, has amassed six victories in the NASCAR Cup Series in just 149 starts. Elliott was the 2016 Series rookie of the year, and he has made the Playoffs all four seasons of his Cup Series career.
