Video: Jimmie Johnson’s Playoff Hopes Dashed With Crash in Final Stage
Jimmie Johnson had been a top-10 competitor all day long in the Big Machine Vodka 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and he was looking to utilize a little more of that Johnson magic to work his way into the final place of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
However, on the initial start of the final Stage of the race, Johnson was swept up in a hard crash. His race is done, as are his championship hopes. This is the first time in Johnson’s career that he has failed to make it into NASCAR’s post-season battle for the title.
Jimmie Johnson's playoff hopes are gone.
