Denny Hamlin’s beautiful Bill Elliott throwback Scheme for the Xfinity Series Sports Clips VFW 200 at Darlington got quite a bit scraped up in Friday’s opening practice.
The damage was severe enough in the impact that Hamlin and the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing team will go to a backup car.
