Last week, Matt Kenseth took home the Slinger Nationals trophy for the record eighth time. Kenseth skillfully utilized a last-lap pass for the win over Ty Majeski. The win was stirring, but it looked like it would be Kenseth’s only racing start of 2019.

However, according to a report at Short Track Scene, Kenseth will add the ARCA Midwest Tour’s Howie Lettow Classic 100 at his home track Madison International Speedway.

According to the report, Kenseth will drive the same car that he won the Slinger Nationals with when he competes at the track where he captured the Super Late Model championship in 1994.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on the track at Madison,” Kenseth said in a Midwest Tour press release. “It’s my home track. I have a lot of great memories there and I’m hoping to make some more. I will never forget the first time my dad brought me there to watch a Super Late Model race.

Kenseth, 47, will compete in this race on Friday, August 16th.
