Video: Tyler Reddick Makes an Unfathomable Save During Coca-Cola 600

Okay, so the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series rookie class needs to be called something other than rookies, because with the moves they are making so far this year, they should NEVER be labeled rookies.

Early in the Coca-Cola 600, Christopher Bell made an incredible save after being punted by Ryan Blaney. But this was Bell’s second such miraculous save of a Cup Series car already this season.

However, not to be outdone, Tyler Reddick — the rookie of the year point leader after seven races — made one hell of a save in his own right.

While running on the low side of Ryan Preece going into turns three and four, Matt Kenseth slows dramatically to come to pit road in front of Reddick. Reddick has two options:

  1. Hit Kenseth square in the rear-end.
  2. Take evasive action and hop somehow it ends up okay.

Reddick went with option No. 2 and the result was spectacular. He cuts high just barely clearing Preece, he slips and slides all the way up the track, but regains control without hitting anything. WOW.
