Video: Ryan Blaney Crew Member Injured in Wild Pit Road Crash at Indianapolis

On the first set of pit stops in Sunday’s Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a huge crash ensued on pit entrance.

In all, nine drivers were involved in the crash including: Martin Truex Jr., Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Chris Buescher, Ryan Preece, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Justin Allgaier, Brennan Poole and Corey LaJoie.

During the incident, Allgaier and Brennan Poole drove around the No. 32 of LaJoie, which was stopped sideways blocking pit lane.

As Poole drove by, he pinned Ryan Blaney’s rear tire carrier Zach Price between the cars. Here is a GIF of the footage of the moment that injured Price:

The crew member was taken off pit lane on a stretcher, but gave a thumbs up and a smile.

The incident brought out a red flag on lap 16 of the 160 lap event.
